Potential conflict of interest
[edit]I'm concerned that this article has been edited too much by User:MatthewHaanappel himself and may contain inaccurate or inflated statements, despite having a decent number of sources. People should not edit their own Wikipedia articles (see WP:AUTO, WP:FAMOUS), even if they think their edits are objective and verifiable. By editing your own article, you are (probably unconsciously) adding only favourable information, whilst leaving out the "bad" bits which might be just as significant to your encyclopedic biography. It also results in unsourced and irrelevant material (see WP:BLPGOSSIP), especially in § Personal.
According to XTools, Matthew has made 82% of the edits on this page through at least two accounts. I find it hard to believe all of that was written as objectively as it would be from any other editor, but I'm open to discussion.
I am adding Template:COI to the main page and will work on cleaning it up a bit. @MatthewHaanappel and MatthewHaanappel12: can you please confirm your conflict of interest as per WP:DISCLOSE? Generally if someone wants an edit to their autobiography, they should discuss it on the talk page and not make the edit themselves.
