Matthew DooceyMatt Doocey – I see Doocey being referred to as 'Matt' instead of 'Matthew' with increasing regularity and thought to test whether there is agreement that this has become the Wikipedia:COMMONNAME. Schwede66 22:48, 27 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Matthew DooceyMatt Doocey – I thought it might be time to suggest this move again. General Google searches give 14,200 results for Matt to 5,770 for Matthew. Google News searches are very skewed - 2,440 results for Matt, and only 93 for Matthew. For what it's worth, Matt is used on his Parliament and National Party pages, in Hansard (throughout his tenure) and for his social media accounts. MW691 (talk) 11:47, 30 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
