If you build it, it will get cancelled

[edit]

Where were the cancelled ships scheduled to be built? I'm guessing the contracts were let & space assigned, even if only for planning purposes.... TREKphiler hit me ♠ 23:52, 25 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, of course. The IJN intended to construct all Type-D destroyers. However, the IJN continued defeat at Saipan, Palau, Leyte, Iwo-Jima and Okinawa. Therefore, IJN had to pour all production capacity into the suicide attack weapons and coastal defense ships. If Iwo-Jima did not fall, all of them would be completed.--Mystia Lorelei (talk) 05:02, 27 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The Momi strikes

[edit]

Were the TT 1x4? 2x2? And Fitzsimons says up to 60 DC; I presume that varied by individual ships in the class. How reliable is the 36'? And while this page says "Peach", this page says Momi means "White Pine". Which is it? TREKphiler hit me ♠ 00:16, 26 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Momi (Matsu class) was equipped the 1 x (IV) Type 92 TT. Momi (Momi class) was equipped the 2 x 6th Year Type (II) TTs. Also, means of Momi is originally Fir at Wiki. However, normal Momi in Japan means Abies firma. --Mystia Lorelei (talk) 04:42, 27 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Miles and miles and...

[edit]

The page now uses "miles" indiscriminately. Are they statute or nautical? The difference isn't trivial... TREKphiler any time you're ready, Uhura 20:02, 12 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
