Not Berber.
[edit]@M.Bitton: Numidian language is also listed with "Old Libyan" name and listed under Libyco-Berber language branch, not Berber. --Yomal Sidoroff-Biarmskii (talk) 10:06, 22 April 2019 (UTC)
- @Sidoroff-B: You're confusing the tribe with the language (the same goes for the Masaesyli). Did you mean to link to Numidians? M.Bitton (talk) 22:55, 22 April 2019 (UTC)
- @M.Bitton: Berber people are a modern people. How could a tribal federation that existed more than 2000 years ago belong to them? --Yomal Sidoroff-Biarmskii (talk) 08:23, 23 April 2019 (UTC)
- Your question is based on a false premise. M.Bitton (talk) 22:52, 23 April 2019 (UTC)
- @M.Bitton: Please explain. --Yomal Sidoroff-Biarmskii (talk) 22:04, 24 May 2019 (UTC)
Berber people are a modern people
is the false premise. M.Bitton (talk) 23:22, 24 May 2019 (UTC)- When do all today's Berber languages have a common ancestor? Does the Massylii language fall inside today's divergence? When was the term "Berber" first used? Why are most of Northern and Eastern (at least) Berber male lineages only 2200 years old? https://yfull.com/tree/E-PF2546/ --Yomal Sidoroff-Biarmskii (talk) 12:28, 26 May 2019 (UTC)
- They are described as Berbers because they were Numidians and the Numidians were Berbers (this is easily sourced).
I have no issue with linking to Numidians instead of Berbers.M.Bitton (talk) 23:10, 28 May 2019 (UTC)

My old comment was stricken-through because you decided to change the article 8 month after you abandoned the discussion and only after having needlessly tagged the Numidian article. I have added some reliable sources to address your concerns. M.Bitton (talk) 23:48, 29 January 2020 (UTC)
