Deleting this article
[edit]For several reasons:
1. the Golden Lion for Visual Arts has nothing to do with the Golden Lion for Cinematography. Only the venue in Venice and the name of the award are the same. Evidence: - The photos with the trophy shown in the sources clearly show that the award is not identical to the 2023 Film Biennale awards. Picture source: https://www.varesenews.it/2023/04/un-leone-doro-a-marchirolo-premiato-lartista-massinissa-askeur/1596262/
2. There seem to be several winners for the ‘Golden Lion for Visual Arts 2023’. An article for every "winner"? Here is another one, maybe the only one, due to no evidence that Mr. Askeur was present at the venue. There is only a picture of him with the award in his hands in the streets of Venice https://www.lasicilia.it/lo-dico/trofeo-leone-doro-per-le-arti-visive-premiato-lacese-antonio-pistara-1774147/
3. The prize awarded has no international recognition, is awarded by Artexpo Gallery (not La Biennale) and was awarded in a conference room of the Hotel Mozart Amadeus in Venice. There is no evidence, that the person Askeur was involved. https://www.artexpo-gallery.it/selezioni-in-corso-per-il-trofeo-leone-doro-per-larte-2023/
4. All French (not linked) and Italian articles in the sources given about this person have the same text
5. Massinissa Askeur is a local artist and not one known for any international recognition. Therefore, the article has no Wikipedia relevance
If anyone has a source for the importance of the award, a photo of the award ceremony with Mr Askeur or even proof of participation in La Biennale, I will refrain from requesting a ‘speedy delete’ Krethiplethi (talk) 04:49, 18 October 2024 (UTC)
