Talk:Massimo Faggioli
This page was proposed for deletion by Brother Jerome (talk · contribs) on 28 May 2019 with the comment: This article lacks any sources on the person, apart from one article written by him. Most of it, was written by himself, as you can see if you check the logs. It is written like a resumé, and the select publications and external links sections were added by himself to promote his work. Another reason for the nomination is the insufficient notability of the subject. It was contested by Phil Bridger (talk · contribs) on 19:22, 28 May 2019 with the comment: I have cited a few reviews of the subject's work, but there are many more found by a simple Google Scholar search for his name that I don't have the time or incliniation to cite now |

Brother Jerome's Proposed Deletion Comment
[edit]I concur with Phil Bridger (talk) that all aspects described in the article can be located in either a general internet search or in a simple Google SCholar search. So, I too contest Brother Jerome's proposed deletion of the article. I recommend that before proposing article deletion this brand new Wikipedian needs to look for and add citations to an existing article. Also, Jerome's "reason for the nomination is the insufficient notability of the subject" is unsound and fallacious with proof for notability found in articles from the Broken Bay Institute (and elsewhere) about Faggioli's stature as a theologian as well as his numerous writing and theological awards including his most recent award, the prestigious Yves Congar Award for Theological Excellence. Even if Jerome disagrees with Faggioli's opinions, that does not mean that Faggioli is insufficiently notable as Jerome labels the theologian.
