Spoilers
[edit]It seems like, rather than only indicating where the spoilers end, the article ought to provide a spoilers warning at its beginning —Preceding unsigned comment added by 12.151.151.3 ...who cares —Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.153.193.143
Fitness
[edit]Was it just me, or did it seem like Mason Dixon was unfit to be in the same ring as Rocky? His body looked flabby and unimpressive. 134.29.6.7 13:41, 20 April 2007 (UTC)
It is both you and Mason. Antonio Tarver gained 20 pounds for this role so he was a bit overweight. How can you say a real boxer like Tarver aka Dixon can't be in the same ring as Rocky? He is a boxer not a body builder. Boxers want lean muscle not over built bulk. Some of the greatest fighters did not have chiseled physiques but were lean and in fantastic shape.
Roy Jones
[edit]Mason Dixon was modeled after Roy Jones and not Mike Tyson, Antonio Tarver's real life nemesis. The role was originaly to given to Roy Jones as well. Mike Tyson was a media darling and Mason Dixon was not like Roy Jones. Like Roy Jones, Mason Dixon was scrutinized for being a safety first boxer and beating oponents too easily. There were no fighters at the time of Roy Jones' reign to push him. So the media was unsure if he was a super human great and that was the reason for his victories or if he lacked good competition. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 219.77.76.91 (talk) 08:00, 12 June 2009 (UTC)
This article is a mess
[edit]This reads like a 12 year old fan wrote it, and does Mason Dixon really need his own Wiki article? He only appears in one movie, and it's not as if he's overwhelmingly popular. This should either be merged into the Rocky article or deleted. Wtbe7560 (talk) 22:44, 18 June 2009 (UTC)
This article should definitely be merged into the Rocky Balboa article. There's no need for this character to have his own page, and it's a bit strange---where did all those fight results come from? However, there are some interesting details in here that should be kept (in the movie page). It's actually more informative in some respects than the movie summary. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.39.239.187 (talk) 01:30, 22 July 2010 (UTC)
