- Overall:
- Pass/Fail:
- Pass/Fail:
- The route is a two-lane undivided road its entire length with a speed limit ranging from 45 to 50 mph (72 to 80 km/h) that passes through mountainous areas as well as the settlements of Loartown and Montel. - Speed limit is probably unnecessary here.
- The road was originally a state highway by 1927 between Loartown and Clarysville - Makes it sound like the route is no longer a state highway.
- At its southern terminus, Maryland Route 55 begins at an intersection with Maryland Route 36 (New Georges Creek Road) in Vale Summit, heading east on Vale Summit Road, a two-lane undivided road with a 45 mph (72 km/h) speed limit. - Confusing sentence, could be worded better.
- The road runs parallel to Braddock Run, passing through the residential settlements of Loartown and Montel before descending into Spruce Hollow. - Is it Braddock Run that passes through the residential settlements of Loartown and Montel before descending into Spruce Hollow?
- Here, MD 55 continues north before crossing under Interstate 68 and U.S. Route 40 (National Freeway) without an interchange. - Surely it continues northward even after crossing unhder I-68 and US 40?
- Another image wouldn't hurt.
Good job other than that. It would be nice if the history section provided a bit more info, but GAs just have to be reasonably broad. Putting this on-hold for now. –Juliancolton | Talk 02:08, 22 July 2009 (UTC)
