Copy Edit
[edit]Had a go at tidying this one up, and a copy edit in good faith. I couldn't find any reference to Mary's work in America within the body of the article, so I removed this mention from the lead. The article desperately needs references and sources. As most Prisoner fans will know, the Bourke book is not a reliable source. Also, despite some celebratory facebook pages and forums being quite sure that Mary celebrated her 100th birthday in 2014, I'm unable to find anything independent to verify it. In fact, other sites list her birth year as 1918. Apart from unsourced tidbits on varying Prisoner forums, information on Mary in general is rather scant, as is so often the case with (minor) notable people who retired or disappeared from view prior to the rise of the internet. But there is some interesting stuff out there, including her being a forces sweetheart during WWII. Bennycat (talk) 04:45, 31 August 2014 (UTC)
