Octoroon
Hello: the context in the article does not make it clear whether Bontemps and Conroy meant "octoroon" literally (they knew her background was 1/8th) or figuratively (she was comparatively lighter)? If this can't be pin down (she was actually 1/8th) it might be better to shorten the quote and concentrate on her beauty. Alanscottwalker (talk) 14:30, 25 April 2022 (UTC)
