There seems to be a confusion regarding these two actresses and understandably so. There was an American actress and model named Mary Wilcox who appeared in TV and films in the 1960s and 1970s. Shortly after she retired, Mary Charlotte Wilcox, a Canadian actress and comedian from Toronto's Second City improv troupe, began appearing on TV. But if you Google them, they look completely different. Mary Wilcox was a tall thin model. Mary Charlotte Wilcox, well, wasn't. The interview with Mary Charlotte Wilcox cited in the article makes no mention of her ever working in the US and states that Second City and SCTV was her big break.
