This has nothing to do with "didn't like" and everything to do with preserving information and building an encyclopedia. You just don't erase information about one person to put information about someone else there instead, as some editors did here. You should start another article about the other person, as I suggested on your talk page. When you have done that you can tell me on my talk page and I'd be happy to add a link from this article to the one about the athlete. Sjö (talk) 19:54, 27 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
There is a discussion going on at Talk:Mary C. Cain regarding the naming or renaming of this article so that the name of Mary Cain can be applied to the rising American high school runner. Trackinfo (talk) 16:13, 20 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
