[edit]Mary Ann Coady has become a local icon within the community of Tucson Arizona as a local symbol of hope in the fight against breast cancer. She also was the first woman psychiatrist to have a building name after her honor as a result of her legacy. She was a champion in the fight against breast cancer as a doctor who inspired the local community. Over ten thousand dollars have been donated to local charities in her memory.
If Wikipedia truly desires to be an encyclopedia of local and national and international news, then it should include such a profound figure of the local Tucson community. Deletion contested!
