Martin Henriksen → Martin Henriksen (Norwegian politician) – I have recently added an article to the site concerning the Danish politician known also as Martin Henriksen. In keeping with the style used to name that entry (see Martin Henriksen (Danish politician), this article will require a rename in the same manner before the name can be disambiguated. - Comment. What's wrong with a hatnote? And what exactly are you proposing to go at "Martin Henriksen"? WP:TWODABS suggests we don't need a disambig page there, although I guess it's harmless if the two are truly "equal" in importance... SnowFire (talk) 01:53, 22 January 2016 (UTC)
- WP:TWODABS - "As discussed above, if an ambiguous term has no primary topic, then that term needs to lead to a disambiguation page. In other words, where no topic is primary, the disambiguation page is placed at the base name." This has no primary topic, both are called Martin Henriksen, both are MPs and both are currently in cabinet as part of a sitting government. There is no way to distinguish which is the primary topic, therefore a disambiguation page is required. The page "Martin Henriksen" will be made to redirect to "Martin Henriksen (disambiguation)" from where the two people will be listed. Sunil The Mongoose (talk) 14:42, 22 January 2016 (UTC)
- Support creating a disambig page then, oppose having the disambig page at Martin Henriksen (disambiguation) with this page redirecting to it. Per WP:DABNAME, the disambig page, if created, should be at just Martin Henriksen. SnowFire (talk) 04:25, 23 January 2016 (UTC)
- OK, I see what you mean. It appears that I didn't read the very thing I quoted! I am sorry, you are quite right. The base page, Martin Henriksen will become the disambiguation page. Sunil The Mongoose (talk) 21:37, 23 January 2016 (UTC)
