The Ellipsis?

When I first took notice of this article's title, what immediately struck me was the random space placed after the ellipsis.  "Why," thought I, "has no one moved this page to Married...with Children, thereby fixing this error?"

No sooner had I had this thought than I took a step back, asking myself an even better question:  "Why, instead, has no one moved this page to Married with Children?  After all, the show's title, as it appears in the actual title sequence, has no ellipsis at all!"

I find this rather perplexing.  How did we collectively get it into our individual minds that there was an ellipsis in the title?  Why did it not dawn on me until today that I never once saw an ellipsis on the actual show?

More to the point, is there any evidence that would suggest that the official title of the show does include an ellipsis?  If not, then I would suggest making a move.

Contrariwise, if there is evidence that suggests that the official title includes an ellipsis, I'd be interested in reading about it.  Indeed, the information may even be worthy to mention in the article.  A short explanation (assuming the ellipsis is part of the official title) explaining why the discrepancy between the official title and the title-as-it-appears-in-the-title-sequence would certainly be within the scope of Wikipedia.

(But, even if we can verify that the ellipsis is part of the official title, we would still need to verify that the space after the ellipsis is also part of the official title.  For, if it is not, then the page ought definitely be moved to Married...with Children.)

Sincerely,

A quick Google search revealed several instances where the ellipsis is included, including an occurrence at CNN. The space is also included. I would thus be reluctant to change the current titling without a reliable source providing guidance as to what exactly the title was intended to be. DonIago (talk) 13:25, 28 April 2016 (UTC)
There was also a previous move discussion that may be worth reviewing. DonIago (talk) 13:29, 28 April 2016 (UTC)

Peg's mom

It could be relevant that Peg's mom does appear in the Now Comics adaptation of the show where she's actually seen as basically a fatter, uglier version of Peg with the same hairstyle, only with a white skunk pattern in her hair and warts on her face. --2003:71:4E07:3B48:C894:EEE7:91C5:C349 (talk) 21:07, 15 September 2016 (UTC)

Rewrite

The more I look at this page the more I realize it needs a complete and total rewrite. There's all kinds of facts on the page that are misinterprited, misrepresented, unclarifited (i.e. I'm not sure why the Seven portion of the article refers to Jumping the Shark, except that it's someone's notion that when seven was introduced they were in fact jumping the shark, which is an opinon anyway), outright erroneous, and in many cases items that were addressed in an episode for the purposes of comedy are represented as factual despite being later negated. I don't know who to contact about a rewrite, and I think it would be a bit presumtous to do it myself, so i'm hoping someone will respond to this. Smokachu13 (talk) 1:13 AM, 6 June 2008

I agree with that assessment. They did jump the shark when they introduced Seven. I found MWC unwatchable after that. I find it odd that now the article does not mention Seven at all. 17.255.233.25 (talk) 19:52, 23 March 2017 (UTC) Darwin
The lack of mention of Seven actually is anomalous. DonIago (talk) 03:53, 24 March 2017 (UTC)

Original cast controversy

It is not stated in the article that Tina Caspary and Hunter Carson were the original actors cast as Kelly and Bud Bundy. Here is the prove: [1] Look at the end.

I agree that mention should be made of the production history, involving an unaired pilot with the aforementioned actors in those roles. Presuming a proper citation is found SecretName101 (talk) 09:39, 9 September 2017 (UTC)

Lost episode

Hi, everyone!

It appears that this series has something like a "lost episode", aired only several years after the series finale, and the previous editors of the page considered the burnoff airing still as original airing. It happens that considering so, it compromises several aspects of the series (original release, original channel) as they don't match with the season counting, etc. So, I think a note would fix it, as not only this, but many other thing has to be edited for the article to meet the MOS:TV.
