Peer Review by Stella5795:

Hi! Very detailed page on Marquise Lepage, well done. I noticed a few things you could work on to make your page even better so here is a short list.

1. "Marquise Lepage (born September 6, 1959 in Chénéville, Quebec),[1] is a Canadian (Québécoise)" -> I would simply change the "Quebecoise" part to "from Quebec" as your article is written in English. 2. Although you state in the 'career' (section up to 2012), you should add where she is now and what she is doing in your main first paragraph and add that to the career section if you need to modify the information. 3. In your filmography, it would be best if you directly link to the work's page for people to be redirected towards more information if they want.

That's about it, keep up the good work! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Stella5795 (talkcontribs) 16:18, 14 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

@Stella5795: Thanks a lot for your great comments. I'll for sure consider that when writing the final article, especially regarding the "career" section - which I plan on expending significantly in the next few weeks. I just didn't have to time to fit in all the information I have yet, haha!  :) LadyBug0731 (talk) 13:33, 15 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there, LadyBug0731,

Overall, this is a very well-constructed article! I'm very impressed with the clarity of the writing, the structure, and the wide variety of your sources. Some notes:

1) The introduction is strong in that it gives us an overview of the subject: who she is, notable works, and career highlights. One thing to consider adding would be a note on Lepage's filmmaking style, or common themes explored in her body of work- if applicable. This would help give us a sense of what kind of filmmaker she is, beyond a list of credits. If you have enough reliable information to warrant it, you could also include style or common themes as its own section.

2) Another element to consider including, if possible, is a quotation or two from your subject. This is not totally necessary, but since you already have quite a lot of information about the work Lepage has done throughout her career, it would be great to have a quotation from Lepage, from a reliable source (perhaps she has been interviewed in one of your many excellent sources?), as a way of expanding on a topic you have already included. As an example- has she commented on any of her films, on why she chose a particular subject, or what the production experience was like? Or- she was one of the founders of Réalisatrices Équitables. Has she commented on her work with this organization, on what it means to her? These are just examples, but if you do have material along these lines in your sources, a short quotation or two could illuminate some of the facts you've written about.

3) As I mentioned, the writing is clear and concise throughout the article. The structure is logical. Upon my first reading, I thought the "Personal life" section could be moved so that it follows "Career", but after a second reading, I actually prefer the order you currently have: Early life, Personal life, Career, Works, Distinctions. It flows well as-is, and the Personal life section ties in very well with the career information given that it mentions her home and her children in the context of her filmmaking pursuits.

Excellent work!

@LK2001: Thank you so much for your great comments. It's really going to help me for the final article - which, as I mentioned to Stella5795, will surely include more information than it does right now. I completely agree with you about adding a few quotes from Lepage as well as a line or two about her filmmaking style. I did come upon such information/quotes in some of my sources, so it shouldn't be too hard to do. :) LadyBug0731 (talk) 11:32, 16 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
