[edit]

In the process of dealing with a series of copyright violations, I came across this article and have removed a significant amount of it. This article in particular does not appear to be an outright copyvio, but I think it may have been strung together, closely paraphrased from a number of original sources, and seems to display less than perfect understanding of those sources. For example, the article stated that "[the marovany] was invented by Luthier N. Sweet". There is no person "Luthier N. Sweet". There, is, however, a luthier called "N. Sweet" who makes and sells reproduction musical instruments on this website (linked from the article). The same external link goes on to state that the instrument for sale is "Crafted of Mahogany and Baltic Birch". Are all marovany(s) made of these materials? We can't say for certain, based on the website of one reproduction instrument-maker. That being the case, I thought it best to strip the article down to bare minimum, until any or all of these facts can be verified. I have made a search for reliable sources, but was able only to find passing mentions. I have also removed a number of external links, as they too contained only brief mentions of the subject. --Kateshortforbob talk 19:38, 15 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
