Rewrote article utilizing much of existing text but to keep a NPOV. Also wikified. Article still needs quite a bit of work, such as addition of a biography section. I can't view his website in Firefox...some funky Flash graphics that won't view properly...arghh! JLamb 08:51, 30 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Amsterdam '07

[edit]

Markus has a new DJ compilation coming out later this month titled "Amsterdam '07". I am tempted to add it onto his compilation discography, but since the announcement does not say what the record label will be, I'm under the impression that I should wait until the compilation is officialy out.

As long as you have an appropriate/reliable citation confriming the existence of the album, it shouldn't be a problem to add it to the discography. I guess "unknown" or "TBA" would work for the record label, although you should probably check to see what's standard for future releases of music. --SesameballTalk 09:20, 8 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Radio Show History

[edit]

Shouldn't we write a section on the origins of Global DJ Broadcast on Party 93.1 in Miami? And perhaps include a section on how Markus' online following has evolved since the early 2000's? Beforeyouknowit (talk) 21:11, 3 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Global DJ Broadcast History @ WPYM

[edit]

YES we should, also this page has the voice of a Publicist. It should be edited to a neutral voice. Not that I dislike his work. Xb2u7Zjzc32 (talk) 23:49, 13 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

"Biography" section

[edit]

The text in the "Biography" section is uncomfortably close to what is written at http://www.armadamusic.com/artist/markus-schulz/. There are superficial changes but large chunks of the text are identical, especially the promotional-sounding bits (e.g. Schulz’s sound notably came quickest to the ears of continental European DJs. and Providing a microcosmic view of his sound, they have become cornerstones for fans CD & mp3 collections, with each new travelogue edition bringing in a fresh wave of supporters.). ... discospinster talk 14:45, 19 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Yikes! Good find. The superficial changes were nowhere near enough to avoid this being a derivative work. Additional material was copied from [1]. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 12:31, 27 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

date of birth

[edit]

there are two conflicting dates of birth... 86.49.40.79 (talk) 14:56, 22 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

On this English language page for Markus Schulz his year of birth is said to be 1969. On the German page https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Markus_Schulz his year of birth is said to be 1975. In order to create trust in Wikipedia this inconsistency should be corrected. Geraldaine (talk) 20:26, 10 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
