[edit]The isolated statement "After practicing born-again Christianity as a teenager, he got involved in alcohol." is a total non-sequitur. --Justinsomnia 17:13, 8 September 2006 (UTC)
Hi, Iam not familar with this guys music but have heard the big UK hit "Johnny Mathis Feet" Is anyone able to tell me what this song means? Is it a tribute to the great Mathis? Was Mark Eitzel influnced by Johnny Mathis? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.157.233.61 (talk) 06:57, 4 February 2008 (UTC)
Hi, I added the "Gay Musicians" category because, well, Mark Eitzel is gay. "When I started, my parents had only died three or four years before, a friend had died of AIDS, and all these things were making me crazy. And I'm gay, and I didn't want to come out of the closet as I didn't want my success to go down the drain 'cos I was some kind of icon for the San Francisco gay scene, which I despised, and still do. I just didn't feel comfortable in any world. Also...man, I used to drink." - from the American Music Club article in Britain's Uncut magazine, March 2008. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 124.171.107.21 (talk) 12:29, 19 February 2008 (UTC)
