Is this man still alive?

I've found a tribute page on muchloved.com to a man named Mark Birkinshaw with a funeral to be held in Bristol (https://markbirkinshaw.muchloved.com/), which seems to suggest to me that this should be written in past tense. Bristol University hasn't made any public statement as best as a quick search found, should we wait for that? Cigarettes and corvids (talk) 22:57, 31 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
