Moncton as possible capital
[edit]Every couple of weeks, someone comes along and adds their hometown as a "possible capital" of a Maritime Union. Since at least 1902, Moncton (a city I have no affiliation with) has been regularly posited as a likely candidate for capital, and Charlottetown, Amherst, Sackville, Memramcook, Salisbury, Lutes Mountain, etc, etc, etc... have not. There are numerous contemporary news stories stating this, but the oldest is this one: Montreal Herald, March 22, 1902
The only links that I have found to suggest otherwise are from online "encyclopedias" that cache old Wikipedia articles. Geoff NoNick 20:36, 15 December 2005 (UTC)
