@Kiwipete: re [1]. There are indeed many places called Marianów in Poland, but there's only one Marianów, Rawa County, isn't there? Shhhnotsoloud (talk) 09:12, 11 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Shhhnotsoloud - yes you are correct, there is only one Marianów in Rawa County, which is why the article has that name. If the article name was just Marianów, no one would know which of the many towns called Marianów it referred to. You can see that all other articles linked to from Marianów are similarly disambiguated, and have an Other Places hat note. Regards, Kiwipete (talk) 04:44, 12 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Kiwipete:. "The purpose of a hatnote is to help readers locate a different article if the one they are at is not the one they're looking for" (WP:HATNOTE). The article title is "Marianów, Rawa County". That title is unambiguous. No hatnote is required - see WP:NAMB. No-one is going to land on Marianów, Rawa County wanting any other Marianów. All the other hatnotes at the other articles for places also called Marianów are all not required too. If you want to tell readers of Marianów, Rawa County that there are other places called "Marianów", the place to do that is not a hatnote, but perhaps in the text or in See also. Would you please remove the hatnote as I did before you reverted me. Thanks, Shhhnotsoloud (talk) 19:49, 12 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Kiwipete: Re [2] I'm sorry to be direct, but it seems you're WP:NOTLISTENING. I have explained WP:NAMB above. Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Poland-related articles#Towns and villages does not mention hatnotes and does not infer that articles such as this require a hatnote, let alone countermand WP:NAMB. There is no reason here to not apply the guideline WP:NAMB. Shhhnotsoloud (talk) 09:01, 10 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
