...of paternal Ukrainian heritage...
[edit]The article states now. Not sure this info in the article is worth to mention, seems more guesswork based on her last name then facts............. — Mariah-Yulia • Talk to me! 13:17, 6 July 2009 (UTC)
Last name
[edit]Shouldn't her last name use the feminine form Kirilenka and not the masculine Kirilenko? --216.239.65.147 (talk) 07:05, 29 July 2009 (UTC)
Description
[edit]"She struggled in her first round match against South Africian Chanelle Scheepers. Kirilenko dropped the first set by 6-4, but took advantage in the second by taking it 6-3. In the final set Kirilenko all guns blazing raced out to a 5-0 holding 3 match points but was broken. Scheepers now served to stay in match. Kirilenko had 2 match points she lost one of her match points but was able to take the match at the fifth time of asking 4-6 6-3 6-1." This seems a little excessive, but I wanted to post it here to get others' thoughts. Cheers PizzaofDoom Talk Edits 04:05, 17 September 2009 (UTC)
Trash
[edit]"After the win, she placed her finger on her lips, as to silence Sharapova and the crowd." I don't think passages like that belong in the Wikipedia. This is some romantic novelization of reality. --Mareklug talk 09:58, 18 January 2010 (UTC)

Retired?
[edit]Her last event was in 2014. Is it safe to claim that she has retired? KobiNew (talk) 14:08, 10 July 2017 (UTC)
- No, when she says she's retired is when it's safe to claim that she has retired. The Rambling Man (talk) 14:12, 10 July 2017 (UTC)
- Of course. So let's ask this, how much time should pass in your opinion assuming she will not claim she has retired but rather just go on with her life? Thanks! KobiNew (talk) 12:30, 11 July 2017 (UTC)
- Unless a reliable source states she has retired, we don't say it, regardless of how long. The Rambling Man (talk) 12:43, 11 July 2017 (UTC)
- Thank you KobiNew (talk) 15:00, 11 July 2017 (UTC)
