Can someone please remove the Close Connection message from the banner? There's not even enough information there to warrant that message. Nwolf1470 (talk) 00:08, 18 March 2021 (UTC)

COVID
A COVID-19 vaccine developed by Texas Children's Hospital Center for Vaccine Development of which she is co-director is was licensed by BCM to E Biologicals LTD in India for possible scale-up and manufacturing and is now in clinical trials. Hopefully there will soon be an official announcement about Phase 3 trials starting but for now here are a couple REFS: https://www.bcm.edu/news/biological-e-limited-and-baylor-covid-19-vaccine-begins-clinical-trial-in-india; https://www.biospace.com/article/releases/biological-e-limited-starts-phase-i-ii-clinical-trial-of-its-covid-19-vaccine-candidate/
The COVID-19 vaccine is targeted for developing countries, as it will cost less to manufacture than the vaccines currently being administered https://www.tandfonline.com/eprint/N5QHNDE3ZBSF5AEWPDGV/full?target=10.1080%2F21645515.2021.1901545&fbclid=IwAR1Reb1A74SP0_uHf4vg_9B9JHCgz3yqB3dgPKd50Dyu5cduITkuQq6OP-w
The Texas Children's Center for Vaccine Development was working on a SARS-CoV vaccine long before the pandemic started: https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/24355931/ but there was not funding to continue the work: https://www.nbcnews.com/health/health-care/scientists-were-close-coronavirus-vaccine-years-ago-then-money-dried-n1150091
