Untitled

Seems very fishy. Nothing other than Borat 2 looks like a legit appearance for this actor who seems to be a meta character. 24.236.92.77 (talk) 03:23, 24 October 2020 (UTC)

Yep, typical KGB backstory.--Jack Upland (talk) 08:38, 24 October 2020 (UTC)
What is a "meta character?" Like you'd use her in regular expressions? - Scarpy (talk) 06:10, 25 October 2020 (UTC)

Oscars Nonsense

As of October 2020, Sacha Baron Cohen is lobbying for Bakalova to be nominated for the 93rd Academy Awards in 2021.[10]

This source is merely a bunch of random celebrities and anonymous individuals on Twitter saying she should be nominated for an Oscar. Nowhere in the source does it say Cohen (or anyone else for that matter) is lobbying for her to be nominated for an Oscar. Random twitter praise isn't notable, and even if it was, it is not what the sentence claims the source says.

This line needs to be removed.

Hello, I'll be doing this review. The article looks pretty good, so hopefully this will be a straightforward process. --An anonymous username, not my real name (talk) 15:06, 27 September 2022 (UTC)

Here everything I would recommend changing:

  • It might be helpful to link the mention of Dostoyevsky.
  • She was inspired to pursue film acting after watching The Hunt, and has cited filmmaker Thomas Vinterberg as her biggest influence alongside Meryl Streep, Nicole Kidman and Natalie Portman. — Maybe reword it; right now it's a little unclear if Vinterberg was more or equally influential to her than the three actresses.
  • It might be a good idea to separate Public image and Personal life.
  • Very little is said about her personal life. If you really can't find anything else, then that's fine, of course, but see if there's something you could add.
    • There's not much information about her personal life besides the fact that she currently resides in LA, which is already mentioned in the Early life and education section anyway so I've removed it from Public image and personal life. Coconutyou3 (talk) 17:14, 28 September 2022 (UTC)
  • Normally Awards and nominations is done as a table, rather than prose. Also, the last sentence, "Her other accolades include numerous critics association and film festival awards", is very weasel word-y and doesn't have a citation.
    • A separate article about her accolades exists which is why there's a summary-style paragraph instead of a table, similarly to other GAs. There was no reference in the last sentence because it linked to said article but I've removed it now. Coconutyou3 (talk) 17:14, 28 September 2022 (UTC)

Okay, it all looks good. If you want to readd the last sentence then that's your call. It definitely meets all the GA criteria, so I passed it. Congratulations. --An anonymous username, not my real name (talk) 18:45, 28 September 2022 (UTC)

Thanks An anonymous username, not my real name, much appreciated. Coconutyou3 (talk) 19:02, 28 September 2022 (UTC)
