[edit]This here- Mariángel is the true poster girl for female telenovela villains. You love to hate her. Mariángel is the telenovelas heroine, Esmeralda's, evil younger half-sister. Mariángel is incapable of truly loving anyone besides herself. She may lust them, may like them when they are nice to her and give her gifts, but true unselfish love is impossible for her. She is driven by envy, greed and selfishness. She destroys everyone who comes too near to her, most of the article, is POV. "You love to hate her?" Lunakeet 21:22, 5 June 2008 (UTC)
Excuse me! What is POV? If it's what i think it is then same to you. And yes, you love to hate her. That is a saying often used of telenovela villains. Because unlike in soaps the villains are truly evil. There is no nicer softer side to them that would make you feel sorry for them. They've been written so that it is easy and natural to only feel dislike for them. Therefore you love to hate them, as you can do it without needing to feel sorry for them. Are you familiar with the telenovela and telenovela fan worlds? Because this is a phrase often used in them. (Xaviera1986 (talk) 07:31, 6 June 2008 (UTC))
Yes, but you could find a more neutral way of saying it. Lunakeet 12:00, 6 June 2008 (UTC)
Okay how do you neutrally say that this character is the perfect telenovela villain. Because incase you didn't notice I love this character. She's great. She's a true villain not some half good half bad sissy. She is a character who you love, 'cos it's okay to hate her. Ergo the phrase love to hate. (Xaviera1986 (talk) 12:23, 6 June 2008 (UTC))
