Quality of assets

[edit]

Are there any rules for a share to qualify as marginable, eg: actively traded, listed on the secondary market for a minimum of 30 days, if so i think it should be included. - 80.227.171.98 07:48, 29 March 2007 (UTC)the man who lost it all[reply]

Definition

[edit]

To make it read less ambiguously, should it be: credit risk *to* his counterparty (broker), rather than *of*? - 11:34pm, 7 July 2011 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 203.34.60.142 (talk)

Margin debt interest

[edit]

Anyone know what Margin Debt Interest is? Maybe someone could put a word or two about it in this article. Thanks kindly. JimScott 00:14, 15 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Long and short - what does it mean?

[edit]

good to read this to learn about the topic. But some of the terms are not explained and hard to search for. Especially: being long or being short - 210.1.9.100 09:00, 30 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Additional ideas: difference between margin account and CFDs

[edit]

this article does not make clear the distinction between a margin account and a CFD (contract for difference). If anyone actually knows this, please put it in. --ToyotaPanasonic (talk) 02:45, 31 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
