Too promotional
[edit]I have had this article on my "to do" list for eleven months—I was going to write it from scratch. I see that someone else has done so before me. The prose I see here is too promotional. The lead section is composed of breathlessly positive quotes rather than a summary of the article text. The article text includes some statements of opinion given in Wikipedia's voice, such as "We can scarcely understand the role of biology or practice the freedoms of re-narrating our lives until we are able to identify more elements of cultural imposition" and "The goal is anti-ageist." The biography discusses a notable woman but it is constructed in an unencyclopedic form. It should hew more closely to facts and dates rather than the overreliance on quotes. - You should do a total re-write and give this article some justice. This is a horribly written piece of fluff. It is written by somebody who has been in academia too long. The way it is referenced always says somebody in the Liberal arts wrote it. If it isn't rewritten, then most of it should be deleted and the article taken down to a stub.
