[edit]I've removed the superlative "prestigious" as it went over-the-top (see editing history). I've also removed the irrelevant Sigma Phi reference as it is a fraternity with which Ms. Hoover would not be affiliated. A quick look at her Bio from her own site encouraged me to remove all references to Davidson College. -tgm8
Feminist?
[edit]By what measure is Ms. Hoover a feminist? 173.8.220.209 (talk) 23:24, 28 April 2009 (UTC)
It appears someone just removed the obvious POV, poorly-spelled portion that referred to MH's comments about Australia being years behind the US on civil rights issues (on the 10/7/09 broadcast of The O'Reilly Factor). I visited this page for the first time, spotted the text, and attempted to remove it; it was already removed by the time I logged in. Thankfully!Cbflagginc (talk) 03:29, 9 October 2009 (UTC)

gay rights?
[edit]I read not long ago she joined (or did something else demonstrating support of) a conservative organization supporting same-sex marriage. is this worth a mention? 68.227.169.133 (talk) 04:54, 18 July 2010 (UTC)
birth announcement language?
[edit]Is "...the Hoover Avlon family welcomed their second child, daughter Toula Lou..." pulled straight from a birth announcement? I used to seeing personal family details in encyclopedia articles written for like "Hoover is married to John Doe, a political consult, and they have two children." Or something. The names of the children aren't really relevant to most readers. The fact that she breastfeeds them is also seemingly irrelevant. I assume she and her husband also change their diapers, but this too is not remarkable in this day and age. If she refused to vaccinate them or allowed them to only speak and hear the Chinese language, this might rise to the level of newsworthiness and be relevant information to include here.
