Not written from a Neutral Point of View
[edit]Wikipedia articles must be written in a neutral voice. This reads like a press release.
"If these are indeed the canonical essentials of a jazz artist at his best, then saxophonist Marcus Strickland is one of today's truest exemplars. " would be fine on a fan site but is clearly not neutral.
"Triumph of the Heavy: Volume 1 & 2 is an excellent summation of not only invention, commanding execution and highly conceptualized music," similar.
In fact the whole piece is basically a hagiography.
It would be a shame to remove the info on this excellent player (I only ended up here because I love Marcus's playing) but this is so biased it must be re-written. I will do it if the original author would wish. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Saxobob (talk • contribs) 21:05, 29 November 2011 (UTC)
