Grumblings
[edit]This article relies on material at the now-gone website Ancient Library, which, from the URL, appears to be the article "Scribonianus Camerinus" from Smith's Dictionary of Greek and Roman Biography and Mythology. Okay, not what I consider the gold chip of sources, but it's good enough to use & I could use that article in DGRB to clean up some of the truly sketchy other links. However, looking at the copy of DGRB at U Mich, the article about "Camerinus, Scribonianus" is about a slave who impersonated a senator during the reign of Nero whose imposture was uncovered & crucified. Not what should be cited to support points in this article. Or maybe the copy of DGRB at that website was rewritten with additional material of unknown quality & all links there are completely unreliable. And, most importantly, is there anything in this article that one can trust? Or should all articles that cite the Ancient Library website simply be deleted & we start over? -- llywrch (talk) 05:46, 2 August 2017 (UTC)
