I'm led to believe that if a player had played a competitive game within the English professional League then he has notability within Wikipedia.

I have since found another source to confirm he played 2 football league games. Taken from a website that is used on many other football players wiki pages. http://www.neilbrown.newcastlefans.com/player3/marcusjones.htm and a second (from a fan site) to also reference his time at Cheltenham Town http://ctfcnesty.byethost24.com/s2000.htm
