Jewish?
[edit]Someone with an anonymous IP edited the article to add Marcus Agius to the category British Jews. Is this true? I've removed it unless someone can give a source. The only other edit by that IP was to do the same to the article on Bob Diamond -- I've reverted that pending evidence as well. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 188.221.185.79 (talk) 18:27, 6 November 2011 (UTC)
I read online that in 2009 the wikipedia entry said Agius "was born into a Jewish family". Now that he has been disgraced, the entry has been changed to say he's Roman Catholic. Unfortunately, based on Wikipedia's other entries I have no problem believing they would change this so his actions don't reflect badly on Jews.Pgg804 (talk) 00:25, 10 July 2012 (UTC)
BBA chair
[edit]Article doesn't mention his chairmanship of the British Bankers Association, mentioned in the WP article on that body, which runs LIBOR. Vernon White . . . Talk: 20:50, 30 June 2012 (UTC)
- From his testimony in the Barclays Bank Select Committee, he is the chairman of the BBA. A separate company (wholly owned by BBA, with separate board) actually runs LIBOR. Widefox (talk) 12:35, 28 July 2012 (UTC)
