Marcia Freedman

[edit]

I love how this article is continuing to grow and look better. When I first started it, It was a short stub. It is growing faster than I thought it would. This is great! :) --Grrrlriot (talk) 01:15, 16 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

External links: Memorial

[edit]

After adding the Sinai Memorial Chapel obituary I discovered the almost identical text in the Facebook post https://www.facebook.com/jenny.hague.33/posts/6288023884604530 by her daughter, which suggests her daughter wrote the Memorial. I'm not sure whether to indicate that in some way, eg. "Memorial for Marcia Freedman by her daughter" or "Memorial for Marcia Freedman, Sinai Memorial Chapel from her daughter's Facebook post" or in some other way or at all? Becoming a Gay Rights advocate

[edit]

@Hailmaj: On 12 May 2017‎ you added "She became a large advocate for Gay Rights movements because she came out as a lesbian to her daughter and her daughter started to isolate from her." to the article about Marcia Freedman. Someone else changed large to strong at 01:53 on 23 September 2021.

Apart from "isolate" not looking like the appropriate word the sentence suggests Marcia disclosed to her daughter that she was a lesbian and her daughter's reaction was to cease contact with her which led to Marcia becoming a gay rights advocate. If that's what happened "isolate from her" needs to be replaced by another phrase. If it wasn't the sentence needs editing. Incidentally the reference cited isn't easily accessible.
