Title of article

[edit]

The earthquake occured right off-shore of Miyagi, so I think the title should be changed to 2021 Miyagi earthquake or something similar to that. Let me know if you can. Reego41 talk 09:55, 20 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

There's a redirect for 2021 Miyagi earthquake but it goes to the February one in Fukushima. Dora the Axe-plorer (talk) 10:46, 20 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I've made it a redirect to this article--Dora the Axe-plorer (talk) 13:08, 20 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Redirect

[edit]

This earthquake is one of the aftershocks of the 2011 Tohoku Earthquake, but we propose to redirect to the List of foreshocks and aftershocks of the 2011 Tōhoku earthquake page. This earthquake is less damaging than the 2021 Fukushima earthquake that occurred a month ago. Eleven people were injured, but no one was killed. I think it is not uncommon for an earthquake of this magnitude to occur in Japan. Miamiaim (talk) 07:55, 25 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Since there was no particular dissenting opinion, I changed to redirect.Miamiaim (talk) 11:39, 1 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Miamiaim: If there's a japanese version of the article, I don't see how this really needs to be merged (now being challenged for notability). Wikipedia also have many articles about earthquakes without any notable impact so I don't understand why this particular article is being targeted for redirect. --Dora the Axe-plorer (talk) 01:33, 2 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Ok, I posted Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/March 2021 Miyagi earthquake.--Miamiaim (talk) 14:19, 12 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
