Correct title?
[edit]Could be called Marc Canham (musician), perhaps? Chumpih. (talk) 12:29, 23 April 2021 (UTC)
Move to article space
[edit]Any objections to moving this to article space? The concerns over notability and independence appear to have been addressed. WP:THREE include NY Times and Variety, so this has reliability. Notability according to WP:COMPOSER is met through Criterion 1, since he created the music for I Care A Lot which won a Golden Globe. Chumpih. (talk) 00:15, 24 April 2021 (UTC)
- @Chumpih: You would have to submit it again. For starters, try reciting sources properly (I suggest having a template to copy-and-paste, such as <ref>{{cite web|url=|title=|date=|first=|last=|website=|access-date=}}</ref>). Secondly, WP:IMDB is not a reliable source, and links formatted like this are generally not recommended to use. Also, try fixing the tables, and remember that films and television series should be in italics. The article is also not of sufficient length to justify notable, so use your sources to expand it. Along with grammar issues, this page is not adequate for mainspace at its current state. Some Dude From North Carolina (talk) 00:27, 24 April 2021 (UTC)
- Also, I Care a Lot didn't win any awards in the music categories and none of the awards mention Marc Canham, so it doesn't necessarily make him "notable" simply for the film being covered by other sources. Some Dude From North Carolina (talk) 00:29, 24 April 2021 (UTC)
- I take your point, but the fact that it's the score to an award-winning film makes possibly makes this notable. He's also the musician so WP:BAND Criterion 10 would apply also. Chumpih. (talk) 00:35, 24 April 2021 (UTC)
- @Chumpih: I agree that his works have made him notable but his article is not currently sufficient to pass guidelines to be in the mainspace. See Wikipedia:What is an article?. That being said, I'll begin making adjustments. Some Dude From North Carolina (talk) 00:39, 24 April 2021 (UTC)
- Fantastic! Chumpih. (talk) 00:41, 24 April 2021 (UTC)
- Seriously, Dude, this is excellent! Much improved. Chumpih. (talk) 01:03, 24 April 2021 (UTC)
