The article calls him Marbodius, Marbodus and Marbod. Can someone clean this up?93.36.190.241 (talk) 19:27, 6 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The first two are latinised forms, I would be surprised if both were not attested in the historiography. Marbod is anglicised. Marbode is the modern French, and as far as I can tell would be the Old French as well. Lowernios (talk) 12:56, 12 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Marbod's name strikes me as possibly Celtic (see section on Maroboduus page), hence suggestive of Breton ancestry - although the spelling would be irregular. Rennes of course changed between Breton and French hands but Anjou not so much. Is anyone familiar with any discussion on this? Lowernios (talk) 12:52, 12 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
