Checking with the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI)

[edit]

The ASI maintains a list of monuments within the region: [[1]].

There is no reference to the "Bhagavati Temple" from the ASI. Does the "Bhagavati Temple" refer to a different temple? I believe that the section on the "Bhagavati Temple" is describing the Devi Bhagwati Temple in Thalora, as they have similar descriptions.

From our wikipedia page describing the Bhagavati Temple: "It consists of a Garbhgriha (sanctrum) and an Antarala with square Mandapa. The walls of the Mandapa have eight niches."

From the ASI page describing the Devi Bhagwati Temple: "It consists of a Garbhagriha and Antarala with a square mandapa.", and later, "the western side of mandapa wall there are eight niches inside." No other temple on the ASI page references eight niches.

Do temples in Thalora belong here?

[edit]

If this article is about the town of Manwal, should we include monuments in Thalora? Shinooby (talk) 01:43, 8 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Reformatting the page

[edit]

To avoid making it like an travel guide, should we reformat this page and rearrange the sections.

Instead of having different temples listed out, should we place them under a big subsection like "Tourism" ?

Then rearrange the major sections to "History", "Geography", "Economy", "Education", "Transport" etc... — Preceding unsigned comment added by Xuanxuan.shen (talkcontribs) 05:35, 22 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Stronger introduction needed

[edit]

Some information presented in the introduction part are irrelevant to Manwal.

For example: "The Devi Bhagavati Temple was originally dedicated to Vishnu and dates back to the 10th or 11th century CE."

This does not introduces Manwal, but addresses the Devi Bhagavati Temple. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Xuanxuan.shen (talkcontribs) 05:46, 22 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
