Copyedit

Why is there a copyedit tag on the article? It is very well written and not in need of correction. Rintrah 14:13, 19 September 2006 (UTC)

OK. After looking at the last changes that were made, I think the tag is valid. I didn't notice any problems while I had read the article tired and quickly. But I still think it is well written. Rintrah 08:12, 20 September 2006 (UTC)
Yeah, no offence/offense intended by the copyedit tag. I agree it's a really good, well-put-together article (makes me want to visit Mantua). Much of it just appears to have been written by a non-native English user. -- Muffuletta 19:38, 20 September 2006 (UTC)
None taken: I didn't write it. I see that now when I read the article not half-asleep. Indeed, I am only one quarter-asleep now. Rintrah 12:56, 21 September 2006 (UTC)

The town was founded, probably around 2000 BC, on the banks of the Mincio on a sort of island which provided natural protection. What does the contributor mean by "sort of"? This needs clarification. Rintrah 15:12, 6 October 2006 (UTC)

Can I remove the copyedit tag now? Compare the current version and the version at its insertion, and you will see how we have improved the article enough to merit its removal. However, there are still aspects which can be improved. Rintrah 15:25, 6 October 2006 (UTC)

Fortress

Siege of Mantua (1799)‎ mentions a fortress, map of which is here. Yet the text does not mention any fortress. Why? --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| talk 13:57, 10 June 2008 (UTC)

Founded 2000 B.C,

It can't be true that "The city was founded, probably around 2000 BC". Perhaps the writer simply means there are signs of settlement going back that far. If so, say soCampolongo (talk) 17:25, 22 November 2010 (UTC).
