I've removed the LGBT category. Unless a reliable source can be found (and MySpace is not a reliable source), we shouldn't have the cat on there. Sex And The City corrections

hi,

a year (or two) ago i contributed a photograph of the episode in question.

it has been deleted, and instead some false informaton has been added & allowed.

(yes i am upset, most of my contributions have been deleted...i used to love this place...NOT ANYMORE)

anyway... in the Manolo Blahnik page it says QUOTE..."The television show Sex and the City mentioned his shoes so often that it helped cement his place in pop culture, and he was said to be the "fifth star" of the show after the show's four lead actresses. The Sex and the City episode titled "The Urban Shoe Myth" centers around the black patent mary jane style that Manolo Blahnik calls 'Campari'."

First of all...

the "fifth" star is not considered to be Manolo Blahnik, everyone working on SATC has stated on film that the "fifth" star of the show is New York.

Second... there is no SATC episode titled "The Urban Shoe Myth". That was just a brilliant line from one of the best episodes.

The episode is actually titled "A Vogue Idea", and what happened is Carrie Bradshaw finished her first article for Vogue, so one of her bosses, Julian Fisher, (played by Brothers & Sisters star Ron Rifkin.), takes her to the accessories room, where she encounters the Manolo Blahnik Mary Jane's.

Then she says "I thought these were an urban shoe myth!"

and by the way... the episode doesn't center around the shoes, the episode centered around Carrie starting at Vouge, Samantha giving her boyfriend (Richard) a three-some for his birthday, & Charlotte trying to throw Miranda a baby shower.

sorry i seem anal, i just am upset because wiki allowed the incorrect comment, yet deleted most of the correct things i contributed.

Boutiques

According to Manolo Blahnik official website there are no official Manolo Blahnik's boutiques in Mexico (or Monterrey and Guadalajara). That doesn’t mean that the shoes may not be bought in Mexico in other Department Stores such as Palacio de Hierro or Liverpool, but there are no MB boutiques. Manolo is a Spanish name. The phonetical transcription in this article is wrong (/məˈnoʊloʊ). If you pronounce like this you sound like a "guiri" idiot.
