Dates for King of Shambhala
[edit]Let's look closer : The widest consensus on b-d dates of the Buddha are the Sri Lankan dates : "... Buddha's lifespan as 624 – 544 BCE, and are the accepted dates in Sri Lanka and South-East Asia."(copied from The Buddha page)
- Born in 624 bce
Born in 624 bce
- Passed in 544 bce
Now, we apply the information on the King of Shambhala : 49.126.126.152 (talk) 12:12, 11 June 2024 (UTC)
- From this page : "He is said in Tibetan sources to have taken the throne 674 years after the death of Gautama Buddha."
- So, Buddha's passed date is 544 BCE (before christian era) minus 674 years equals 130 CE (christian era) as the approximate date when he took the throne. Remember, we count backwards when dealing with BCE...
- This is the logic for the correction. 49.126.126.152 (talk) 12:22, 11 June 2024 (UTC)
