Manjeri is a town, not a city.
[edit]I don't think Manjeri can be classified as a city by any yardstick. It is at best, a big town, but still a long way from being called a city. That's why we have a municipality there and not a corporation as is the practice in a city.In Kerala, there are only a few number of cities namely T'puram, Kochi, Kozhikkode, Thrissur. If Manjeri were to be considered a city,I am afraid, there would be dime a dozen cities in this small state. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 59.88.79.244 (talk) 21:44, 14 August 2010 (UTC)
The geniuses who insist that Manjeri town is a city need to be taken on a study tour through the 'real cities' of the world. I wonder what they would call a New York or a Mumbai. (59.88.78.125 (talk) 18:39, 18 August 2010 (UTC))

Repetition
[edit]- I find many facts repeated over and over again through out various sections of the article. Could be trimmed and the article made leaner. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 59.88.79.254 (talk) 19:42, 24 August 2010 (UTC)
Needed developments
[edit]Is there a source for this list, e.g., a report prepared for the local governmnet, or is this just a wish list of things that editors of this article think should be builit? Wikipedia is not a discussion forum, so if no reliable source can be provided, this section should be removed. Ground Zero | t 15:13, 15 July 2011 (UTC)
No train schedules
[edit]Wikipedia is not a train schedule or a newspaper. It is an encyclopaedia. Train schedules change too often to be worth including here, and it is simply too much detail for what this article should do. Can you imagine the Mumbai article having train or flight schedules? Manjeri locations and (many) related wiki-stubs
[edit]Hi, not my "business", hence just a Comment:: Category:Malappuram district comprises imho about 20 stubs related to locations of Manjeri, usually a short description, for instance
...Kidangazhi is a location in Manjeri municipality in Malappuram district of Kerala State of south India... To 'whom who may be interested in' ;-) kindly regards, Roland zh (talk) 01:21, 27 January 2016 (UTC)
These stub pages should be recommended for deletion. Irfannaseefp (talk) 09:41, 28 January 2016 (UTC)
- Stubs are fine, if they relate to notable topics and are referenced. So I suggest you make a list of those stubs, and confirm that they do or do not exist. Then, per WP:AFDHOWTO, nominate them for deletion. If they are all similar, you can put them into one AFD. But we need to show that they don't actually exist, since real places are generally assumed to be notable. Let me know if you have questions or need help with that AFD. - I can help in redirecting them properly since I know most places in Malappuram District. Please point out the stubs. --Prof TPMS (talk) 11:35, 9 February 2016 (UTC)
- Hi, and thank you, but some days ago, just categorized all locations as Category:Manjeri, although preferring to redirect most of these about 40 to (see>) [:Manjeri#Wards and present councillors]]; but honestly, imho rather 'vasting time' ;-) Kindly regards, Roland zh (talk) 21:56, 9 February 2016 (UTC)

The page links two pages, are they different?Xx236 (talk) 10:26, 9 February 2016 (UTC) Both refer to the same place, dear Xx236. So I have given the necessary redirect. --Prof TPMS (talk) 11:33, 9 February 2016 (UTC)
