Needs improvement
[edit]The article has zero references and there are instances of contradictions (note the number of students in the introduction and Infobox) Phloyd (talk) 15:19, 9 July 2009 (UTC)
Promotional
[edit]Tone needs to be checked, as well as neutrality. College article guidelines need to be referred. Reliable third party sources must be added. TheMike •Leave me a message! 19:48, 27 February 2011 (UTC)
I've edited for tone and neutrality. Removed unnecessary adjectives. I've also added a few sources from news (though very few). Ranjani Krishnakumar (talk) 09:15, 6 April 2011 (UTC)
Removed information
[edit]- I've removed some information which was irrelevant to the article, it can be used for future separate articles if anyone wishes. Gsingh (talk) 03:21, 1 January 2012 (UTC)

Student accommodation
[edit]Manipal University has a separate hostel section under the Hostel Management Committee and is headed by a chairperson. The Chief Warden, MU, Manipal Campus, who is the secretary of the Committee, administers the day-to-day aspects of hostel management.
Each hostel has a Warden from the teaching faculty of the colleges who is responsible for the discipline, maintenance of building, allotment of rooms, etc. The hostel staff consists of caretakers/block supervisors, other attendants and maintenance staff. The Manipal Servicecorp Facility Management Pvt. Ltd. (MSFM) looks after the maintenance of the buildings and other facilities in the hostels. The hostel provides a cot, a mattress, a study table, a chair and a cupboard for each student. Every hostel has uninterrupted electricity, solar heated water facility, water cooler, common telephone, common TV room, common reading room etc.[6] Students can take an independent telephone connection for an additional payment. Some hostels have a gymnasium and indoor games facilities.
There are messes in different areas of the campus. Students can choose to be a member of any of these messes.[6]

Proposed merge with Manipal University Press

"This article's list of alumni may not follow Wikipedia's verifiability or notability policies"
[edit]Guys, inputs on specific alumni in re. notability? Let's clean this section up and get rid of that banner. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Theintuitus (talk • contribs) 08:38, 5 December 2017 (UTC)
- Per WP:ALUMNI, notability is not an issue if an article exists and includes sources for notability. Verifiability is the issue. --Muhandes (talk) 11:59, 5 December 2017 (UTC)
