- This is a contested technical request (permalink). Hhkohh (talk) 11:54, 9 September 2018 (UTC)
- Oppose Seems a common name. Better is a discussion (see also: Talk:The Purple Revolution: The Year That Changed Everything and Talk:Gods and Kings: The Rise and Fall of Alexander McQueen and John Galliano Hhkohh (talk) 11:54, 9 September 2018 (UTC)
- How do you reconcile your position with our book-specific guideline, WP:SUBTITLE, which states:
Usually, a Wikipedia article on a book (or other medium, such as a movie, TV special or video game) does not include its subtitle in the Wikipedia page name, per WP:CONCISE. The only exception to that is short article titles, for disambiguation purposes.
Seems a common name.
Of what relevance is the fact that it is a common name?Better is a discussion
I have no idea what that means. 142.160.89.97 (talk) 18:37, 9 September 2018 (UTC)- Because this is a bold move. Also, WP:SUBTITLE is not a policy, just a guideline, see also WP:COMMONNAME and other related policy Hhkohh (talk) 10:03, 11 September 2018 (UTC)
- Support per WP:SUBTITLE, for consistency with Wikipedia's house style not to use the subtitle, and many sources which clearly use the title on it's own without the subtitle. — Frayæ (Talk/Spjall) 12:08, 9 September 2018 (UTC)
- Oppose cited guideline does not apply as disambiguation and long title are clearly beneficial to readers here, and in cases without (book) WP:PRIMARYREDIRECT works for short titles. In ictu oculi (talk) 07:22, 10 September 2018 (UTC)
- Oppose - In ictu oculi pretty much sums this up. In both links Frayæ provided both names are used. --Gonnym (talk) 21:55, 20 September 2018 (UTC)
