Additions
[edit]I have added a description and history of the site. I will add some more, tofether with references, later.--Train guard 18:14, 4 December 2007 (UTC)
Photographs
[edit]The present photograph shows the 1831 carriage shed. Can someone add a photo of the actual station building frontage on Liverpool Road?--Train guard (talk) 17:00, 6 December 2007 (UTC)
Article name
[edit]I've moved this from Liverpool Road railway station (Manchester) to Manchester Liverpool Road railway station for two main reasons: (i) because that's the name given by Butt, p.153; (ii) the L&M are more likely to have included the name of the city in the name of the station, ie "Manchester (Liverpool Road)", with or without parenthesis. Plain "Liverpool Road" is highly unlikely. To be fair, they're most likely to have referred to the station as plain "Manchester", but that's too ambiguous for Wikipedia purposes. --Redrose64 (talk) 21:39, 17 January 2011 (UTC)
Mainline Link Severance (Ordsall Chord)
[edit]Revised wording; however all relevant citations (8 - 11) are contained in the last paragraph of the 'Proposal' section of the Wikilinked 'Ordsall Chord' page, to which the original "It would appear that.." was pointing Paul Gaskell (talk) 18:54, 27 April 2014 (UTC)
