[edit]The hotel is no longer owned by Doug Manchester, so I don't see how information about the Prop 8 protests is still relevant. Athene cunicularia (talk) 06:31, 18 November 2011 (UTC)

Doug Manchester Controversy
[edit]The persistent obstruction of a section referencing the controversy surrounding the ownership of the hotel by Doug Manchester is questionable and requires review. Arguments made calling the entire controversy irrelevant because Doug Manchester no longer owns the hotel ignore the factual and historical position that acknowledges the protests as a catalyst for the sell-off and subsequent name change(s). The continued deletion of this section could possibly be a ruse by editors working on behalf of the interests of the Hyatt Corporation to distance themselves from the controversy. The controversy itself, though, consists of historical events (protests) and is relevant to the history of the property. Wikipedia is not an advertising platform for hotel chains and does not exempt them from the acknowledgment of controversy. I would appreciate it if an admin took a look at this. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.6.228.46 (talk • contribs) 21:39, 30 July 2020 (UTC)
