Makes no sense to merge the two. This entryManasseh is the most significant of the list. Ώ —Preceding unsigned comment added by Genesis3750 (talk • contribs) 19:53 & :54, 27 January 2007
Genesis3750 (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · block user · block log) created this comment by changing Sidp's comment (whose original text was later restored) to speak against rather than for merging, taking the opposite view as to the more significant, and adding the supposed sig
Merging these articles would be incredibly misleading to everyone, especially Americans Ώ —Preceding unsigned comment added by Genesis3750 (talk • contribs) 19:50, 27 January 2007
Assuming that you're referring to Manasseh versus Manasses, I agree that they should be merged. Both are effectively disambiguation pages, and they even describe one character in common. Robin S23:22, 7 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Do not merge them. Retain the links and references but to merge would be to confuse people that are searching specifically for the tribe of Manasseh. Todd 18:22, Sep 17 2007 (UTC)—Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.236.247.25 (talk) 19:21 & :23, 17 September 2007
This discussion seems to have been effectively closed in January 2008, without comment on this page, by an edit on the accompanying main-namespace page that removed the tag {{Merge|Menasseh|date=February 2007}} (and a corresponding edit at Manasseh that day), summarizing by referring to lack of consensus to merge the two main-namespace pages. --Jerzy•t02:31, 30 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
The merging of Dab pages is seldom a matter worthy of controversy, but this one elicited views spanning 11 months. This one has never been a conforming Dab page, despite quickly attracting a {{hndis}} tag, but i am about to split it into a Dab page and a given-name page. There may be merit to including material from Manasseh on Manasses (given name) (but Manasseh, being a Dab page, cannot be merged with Manasses (given name), nor vice versa). --Jerzy•t02:31, 30 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I removed the content that was not about people's names and took it to the appropriate article talk pages: Tribe of Manasseh and Prayer of Manasseh. I have also updated the list of people with the given name; I was not certain if some of the variations belonged here, but put them in anyway. Please {{ping}} me if you need to know more. — Gorthian (talk) 08:10, 4 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
