Move
[edit]This article should be renamed into genus name Drepanis with only a short description of the two species. Both species should receive expanded articles. --Melly42 00:02, 7 June 2007 (UTC)
- Support Almost all other articles are now in this format and there is no reason this one should not be. Frickeg 23:51, 28 July 2007 (UTC)
- Support I've started expanding the Mamo articles, though, at the moment, it's just me copying the information here into the aforementioned articles. What else should we do?--Mr Fink 18:36, 1 August 2007 (UTC)
- this article should be rewritten as genus article --Melly42 16:05, 7 August 2007 (UTC)
- Comment; the article was split into the new species articles but was not retained as a genus article like it should have been. I have restored the genus article, though if people feel it should sit at Drepanis instead of Mamo they should decide here. Sabine's Sunbird talk 19:41, 30 January 2009 (UTC)

"Mamo" disambiguation page?
[edit]Greetings, fellow obsessive dedicated editors,
My family and I just enjoyed the Academy Award-winning classic Mutiny on the Bounty (1935), and looked here for information on one of its stars, billed simply as Mamo. However, a search for that name pointed here, with no reference to WP's article on Mamo Clark (whose surname we learned elsewhere). May I suggest someone create a Mamo disambiguation page, containing a link to this article, the disambiguation links here, and one to Ms. Clark's page? I'd do it myself, but I'm afraid it's beyond my coding skills (including whatever magic's necessary to make subsequent mamo searches point there). – AndyFielding (talk) 09:50, 13 March 2019 (UTC)
