File:Dead trees at Mammoth Hot Springs.jpg to appear as POTD soon
[edit]Hello! This is a note to let the editors of this article know that File:Dead trees at Mammoth Hot Springs.jpg will be appearing as picture of the day on September 15, 2011. You can view and edit the POTD blurb at Template:POTD/2011-09-15. If this article needs any attention or maintenance, it would be preferable if that could be done before its appearance on the Main Page so Wikipedia doesn't look bad. :) Thanks! howcheng {chat} 15:55, 13 September 2011 (UTC)
Identification?
[edit]Can someone identify where the feature in this postcard is. Perhaps the "Fish Pot" is now known under some other name, or has since disappeared? --Fæ (talk) 15:48, 6 February 2016 (UTC)
Hi @Fæ! The spot in this picture is actually located in West Thumb Geyser Basin! It's listed as "Fishing Cone" in this article on the National Park Service site: https://www.nps.gov/yell/learn/nature/west-thumb-geyser-basin.htm - Barrybluejeans (talk) 21:35, 5 November 2020 (UTC)
