See Also and her nickname
[edit]Female players in men's leagues are perfectly appropriate to this article's See Also section, per WP:SEEALSO Additionally, her nickname follows the specific formatting as specified in MOS:QUOTENAME as stated here: "If a person is commonly known by a nickname that is not a common hypocorism (diminutive) of their name,[12] used in lieu of a given name, it is presented between quote marks following the last given name or initial, as for Bunny Berigan, which has Roland Bernard "Bunny" Berigan. The quotation marks are not put in bold." Removal of her nickname is not warranted, nor is removal of the See Also section. Scr★pIronIV 13:14, 28 December 2017 (UTC)
Doubtful information in Riley
[edit]The Biographical Encyclopedia of the Negro Baseball Leagues, by James Riley is apparently the source for Bullpen and http://www.nlbemuseum.com/history/players/johnsonm.html of some information of doubtful quality, i.e., that she was born in Long Branch, NJ rather than Ridgeway, SC; YOB 1932 rather than 1935; and years of play only 1954 rather than 1953 to 1955. No BA or W-L record. Dgorsline (talk) 12:28, 27 August 2018 (UTC)
- Similarly, The Negro Leagues Book, edited by Dick Clark and Larry Lester, has incomplete information for MJ. Clark and Lester list her only on the 1954 Clowns roster. Their 1955 roster is clearly incomplete, listing only nine players. Of these nine, seven pitchers and two position players.Dgorsline (talk) 11:43, 10 September 2018 (UTC)
